In 2013 he created “Ode to the Sea”, nominated for the audience award of the Benelux artist group. His work is inspired by Paros (his second home where he resides) – the sea, the sun, the sand…. In 2016, Wim Drion created “Landscapes full of unlimited homesickness”, inspired by the Cyclades island. And as of 2020 Wim Drion continues with his “Nature Inspiration” drawings and oil paintings. His work depicts in detail the atmosphere and scent of the Greek island. With beautiful Indian ink and watercolors he creates colours and images of repetition.
Those who want to see more and larger work can contact the artist directly. His studio is situated at walking distance from the Central station Amsterdam. Wim Drion also organizes private and group lessons/workshops for drawing and painting on Paros.
